Assistant Marine Officer Instructor

Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh was born on November 23, 1984 in Dearborn, Michigan. He enlisted in the Marine Corps on 11 May 2003 and attended Recruit Training at MCRD Parris Island, South Carolina.

      Upon completion, he received training at Marine Combat Training School (MCT), Camp Lejeune. Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh received a MOS from Boot Camp of 2799/Arabic Linguist.                         

      In December 2004, he received orders to Marine Corps Base Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. He was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal. While being assigned to MCB Camp Foster, he participated in Operation Iraqi Freedom 04-05 as a Linguist/Translator.

      In January 2005, Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh reported to Combat Logistics Regiment 17, Camp Pendleton, California where he was promoted to Corporal. He was then attached to the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit where he participated in search and rescue missions for Hurricane Katrina Relief. After being promoted to Sergeant, he deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07 as part of a HUMINT/Counter Intel Exploitation Team.

      In January 2008, Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh received Orders to Drill Instructor School MCRD San Diego where he completed 9 cycles as a Drill Instructor, Senior Drill Instructor and Chief Drill Instructor in Kilo Company and won Drill Instructor of the year award.

      In August 2011, Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh received orders to H&S BN, Service Co MCB Quantico to be the Operations Chief. In 2014, Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh reported to 1st Battalion, 4th Marines where he worked as a Company Gunnery Sergeant for H&S Co and deployed to Darwin, Australia.

      In 2016, Gunnery Sergeant reported to MWSS 372 to serve as the Company 1stSgt for Airfield Operations Company and deployed on a Special Purpose MAGTF in the Middle East. Also in 2017, he graduated from the Force Fitness Instructor School in Quantico.

      In May of 2018, Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh reported to his current duty Station at the University of Michigan as the AMOI and the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the NROTC Program. 

      Gunnery Sergeant Hamadeh’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal in lieu of third award and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal in lieu of fifth award and a Combat Action Ribbon.
